Four New Music Biennial 2019 pieces nominated for Ivor’s Composer Awards 2020
Plus a further six New Music Biennial and New Music 20×12 composers nominated
Huge congratulations to the four composers whose New Music Biennial 2019 pieces have been nominated for this year’s Ivor’s Composer Awards:
- Sam Eastmond – “Brit-ish” which emerged and evolved into “Shagpile Carpet Story AKA the King Of Spank”
- Claire M Singer – “Gleann Ciùin”
- Edmund Finnis – “The Centre is Everywhere”
- Khyam Allami – “Requiem for the 21st Century”
A further congratulations to six other New Music Biennial and New Music 20×12 composers who have been recognised with nominations for their other pieces:
- Sally Beamish (New Music 20×12)
- Joe Cutler (New Music 20×12)
- Mark Simpson (New Music Biennial 2017)
- Emily Howard (New Music 20×12)
- Conor Mitchell (New Music 20×12, and New Music Biennial 2019)
- Philip Venables (New Music Biennial 2017)
